Good flooring is mostly subfloor work

Squeaks, gaps, and cracked grout almost always trace back to what was under the floor, not the floor itself. We level the subfloor, fix the deflection, and let material acclimate before installation, because none of that can be corrected later without pulling everything back up.

Then it goes down properly: correct expansion gaps at the walls, clean transitions between rooms, and joints that stay tight through a Philadelphia winter and the humidity that follows it.

The Work

What We Handle

Laminate

Subfloor repair

Leveling, deflection repair, and rot replacement before anything new goes down.

How It Works

From First Call
to Final Walkthrough

  1. 01

    Measure and assess

We check the subfloor for level, moisture, and movement, and tell you what it needs before you pick a material.

  2. 02

    Prep and acclimate

Subfloor leveled and repaired while the material acclimates to the room.

  3. 03

    Installation

Laid with proper expansion gaps, staggered joints, and clean transitions between spaces.

  4. 04

    Trim and finish

Baseboard, shoe molding, and transitions installed, then a final cleanup and walkthrough.

Questions

Common Questions

Can you install over my existing floor?

Sometimes, depending on the material and the condition underneath. We check at the consultation and tell you straight, because covering a bad subfloor just delays the problem.

How long does a floor take?

Most rooms are done in a few days. Larger installs and anything needing subfloor repair run longer, and the timeline comes with your estimate.

Do you move the furniture?

Yes, that is included. We move it out, install, and put it back.
