The part nobody sees is the part that matters

A deck is a structure, not a surface. Footings below the frost line, properly flashed ledger board, correct joist spacing, and hardware rated for the load. Get those wrong and the boards on top do not matter, no matter how good they look on day one.

This is the work we do most. Composite decks, covered porches with real rooflines, and carports, built to code and inspected. Look at the before and after builds on our portfolio page and you will see the same jobs from framing through to finish.

The Work

What We Handle

Composite decks

Low-maintenance composite decking with hidden fasteners and no annual staining.

Covered porches

Porches with hip or gable rooflines, wood ceilings, and columns tied into the house.

Wood decks

Pressure treated and cedar decking where the budget or the look calls for it.

Railings and stairs

Metal, composite, and wood railing systems with code-compliant stairs.

Carports and structures

Freestanding covered structures, including masonry rebuilds.

How It Works

From First Call
to Final Walkthrough

  1. 01

    Site visit and design

We look at the grade, the door height, and how you want to use the space, then scope it honestly.

  2. 02

    Permits and footings

Permits pulled, then footings dug below the frost line and inspected before we build on them.

  3. 03

    Framing and ledger

Ledger board flashed and fastened to the house properly, then framing and joists set to spec.

  4. 04

    Decking and rails

Decking, railings, stairs, and trim installed, then a final walkthrough.

Questions

Common Questions

Composite or wood?

Composite costs more up front and never needs staining. Wood costs less and needs maintenance every year or two. We price both so you can decide with real numbers.

Do decks need a permit?

In most cases yes, and we pull it. An unpermitted deck becomes your problem when you sell the house.

How long does a deck take?

Most decks are a couple of weeks including the inspection stops. Covered porches take longer because of the roof.
